I love walking under tropical thunderstorms, they are frequent, fierce and incredibly beautiful. In Thailand, sometimes there is a "Heavenly thunderstorm" - this is, of course, not a term, but I call thunderstorms that do not care about us on earth, they occur there in the sky. The clouds are sorting themselves out, shooting lightning at each other, but nothing reaches the ground. And you can stand quietly and admire. Sometimes lightning generally seems to strike from the bottom up, and when the brittle branches of lightning repeat the winding branches of the tree for a second, in a flash, and continue further up, it looks just incredible.
