Gonejall strutted into the small, upscale gym in central Bangkok, his muscles gleaming under the bright lights. Known for his arrogance and habit of hogging equipment, he ignored the glares of other gym-goers. Spotting his favorite bench press, he sauntered over and began his routine, piling on weights without a second thought for anyone waiting.
"Excuse me," said Krit, the gym’s owner, a fit and quietly authoritative man in his late 30s. "Others are waiting. Share the equipment, please."
Gonejall scoffed, brushing off the request. "Wait your turn like everyone else. I’ll be done when I’m done."
Krit didn’t argue. Instead, he waited, observing Gonejall as he finished his set, oblivious to the tension building in the room. The moment Gonejall stood up to grab a towel, Krit seized his chance. In a flash, with the strength of someone who trained daily, he grabbed the cocky gym stud and pinned his arms behind his back.
“Hey! What’s your problem?” Gonejall protested, but Krit was already tying his wrists securely with resistance bands, his grip firm yet controlled.
"You think this gym is just for you?" Krit said calmly, leading the bound Gonejall to an empty corner. "Time to learn some manners."
Embarrassed and unable to wriggle free, Gonejall glared at Krit while the other gym-goers looked on, some stifling laughter.
"You’ll stay here for a bit and watch how people share equipment," Krit continued. "Maybe next time, you’ll act like you’re part of a community, not a one-man show."
Gonejall fumed, but deep down, he knew he had been out of line. Though he wouldn’t admit it aloud, the lesson stung more than the tightness of the bands on his wrists.
