Saeroi knelt on his enemy's bed, his hands bound tightly behind him, the coarse ropes cutting into his wrists. The blindfold over his eyes robbed him of sight, leaving him with only the sounds of his captors’ laughter and the distant crackle of a fire. The whip lashed against his back and tanned ass, a searing pain tearing through his body. He bit down hard, refusing to cry out, his pride his last shield against their cruelty.
“Speak!” barked the enemy commander, his voice harsh and demanding.
Saeroi stayed silent. Each strike of the whip felt like fire, but he bore it, his defiance unwavering. His body ached, but his spirit stood unbroken.
